Data Protection Policy
On May 25th 2018, the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) entered into force. In order to meet the requirements of this law, we have created a Data Protection Policy. The last version of this policy can be found on our website and it contains information about how we handle personal data. For us, it is important to inform you that we take this legislation seriously and that we have developed internal guidelines and practices to comply with the new law. It is essential for us in the Nordic Groupe SEB affiliates that you feel safe with how we handle your personal information.
Processing of personal data
We process your personal information in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Your integrity is important for us and we want to be transparent about how your personal information is handled.
What is a personal data
Personal data is all information that can be used to identify an individual, such as name, address, phone number or e-mail address. All processing of personal data is done with high security and confidentiality.
Storage of personal data
All processing of personal data is handled in accordance with applicable legislation. This means that we do not save personal data longer than necessary for the purpose of the processing. This also implies that data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer relevant or necessary for the purpose that is was collected for. We have separate procedures regarding all the storage of personal data.
Application information
When you apply for a position we ask you to provide us with personal information (name, contact details, address, telephone number and e-mail address) and your CV in electronic form (Word or PDF file) or by extracting your CV from your LinkedIn profile. The application data can only be seen by HR staff who work with the current recruitment and for the top candidates selected, the hiring manager will also get to see your CV. We use this information to understand your personal profile and asses how it matches the available position that we have. The information is also used to keep in touch with you regarding the current recruitment.
Handling of social security numbers - employment number
We only use social security numbers when it is necessary and needed for identification. In cases where it is sufficient, only employment numbers will be used. This is to minimize the use of social security numbers.
Your rights
Data protection legislation gives you rights regarding the processing of your personal data. For example, you have the right to access your personal information, request that your information is corrected/updated, that the processing is limited or that your data is deleted.
What personal data is collected about you as a consumer
We collect information about our consumers in conjunctions with complaints and compensations in the form of new goods or cash. Personal data such as address details and bank details in connection with any cash payment is saved for five years according to the Accounting Act. In our stores, our customers also have the possibility to register themselves (name and e-mail address) to receive newsletters from the store. All data about our customers is stored securely and will not be used for marketing or shared with any third party.

When visiting our websites, different techniques can be used to recognize you with the purpose of learning more about our visitors. This can be done directly by us or through the use of a third party.
